After more than 5 years, I have been taking the summer off for a bit of traveling and to lose a little weight (17 pounds down, 3 more to go). I just got back from a wonderful vacation to Italy and Croatia. Our flight arrived into Milan, which was a beautiful blend of old and new. Milan is the fashion capital of Italy, and the heart of that fashion is the high-end Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.

The heart of Milan is its beautiful Piazza del Duomo, which has the main cathedral of Milan as well as the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.

Sforza Castle is a castle dates from the 15th century, and has a museums of art by Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangel.

Great pictures! How on earth do you lose weight on vacation?! I have managed to lose 18 on Weight Watchers since May but that was last week’s weigh in, i.e. before spending five days in Chicago. I am dreading the scale on Wednesday.
Haha. I walked a lot. Actually, I gained a two pounds on vacation.
I didn’t walk a lot. I gained a pound in five days. Ugh! This is what happens when I can’t make my own food. Have you checked out Chris Kimball’s new venture yet?
It took me 3 weeks to gain 2 pounds, but I did cook most of the time on vacation. No, I only heard about his new rental space in Boston, but I haven’t seen that there is anything available to look at online. I will look this weekend!
